Dragon Age II - a worthy sequel?

Dragon Age II starts off as the Blight is ravaging Ferelden and you and your family are forced to flee. You find yourself in the city of Kirkwall, without any money and without anywhere to live. The game is split into several different stages, starting with you finding your feet, raising some cash and making friends. Once you've raised enough cash you can undertake the Great Roads Expedition and emerge as the Champion of Kirkwall. As the game draws toward a close things will unravel around you and you'll have to make some tough decisions as you fight to restore peace to the city.

Now DAII is different to Dragon Age: Origins. The vast scale of the original game is gone as most of the action second time around takes place in and around Kirkwall itself. The graphics are improved and the game has been tweaked in many ways - tweaks that haven't gone down too well with a lot of Dragon Age fans.

I actually found the game very enjoyable and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. With work on Dragon Age III already rumored to be underway, you can now pick up Dragon Age II at a fraction of the launch price. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
